Isaiah Hudson, Week 5, Swagga

We learned about stereotypes. They are bad. I did a crossword. I learned about helping the homeless.

Isaiah Yarberough, Week 5

Money isn't always good for homeless people because they may use it for bad things. My favorite part was the homeless people crossword puzzle. I learned about stereotypes and that we shouldn't hold them.

Imani Herring, Week 5, Snow Leopards

This week we made signs out of cardboard and statistics. Then we took a video of it. Also it is going to be a commercial and maybe on TV. I learned that some people who have jobs dress as homeless people to give the homeless food and clothes. A stereotype is a group of something that is not true like homeless people are dirty.

Sha-nya Ross

This week we talked about homeless people and stereotypes. One thing I learned this week was in 2009 there were over 3,400 homeless people in Baltimore. I also learned that stereotype is when someone put everybody into 1 group or when you judge a group. One thing I will remember from this week is that not all homeless people don't have a degree. Also people can help homeless people b giving them socks and food.

Syeenah Whitty, Week 5, Summer Force

Homeless people need food. I love homeless people. I love making houses.

Ania Herring, Week 5, Triple S

This week we talked about homelessness. One thing that I learned is that homeless people ask for money. I also learned that stereotypes are when you judge a group of people. I also learned that some homeless people do drugs or alcohol. 54% of homeless people in the U.S have been incarcerated at some point.

Nikeva Riley, Week 5, Snow Leopards

If I were homeless, I would get some cardboard, find something to write with, and I would write, "Please help me!" I would write please, help need food, home, and clothing. Most importantly family! I am grateful for family, friends, food, water, clothes, and a home.

Japri Chesil, Week 5, Triple S

If I was homeless I would be sad and I would be mad and I would have no place to live and I am thankful because some people do not have clothing and love and care so I am thankful. I would have a sign that says God bless.

Keontay Rose, Week 5, Triple S

This week we talk about homeless people. I learned that almost 50% of homeless men in Baltimore are over the age of 45.

Dyshira Washington, Week 5, Snow Leopards

If I was homeless I would be sad and I would cry. If I was homeless I would try to find a job to get a home. I am grateful for a home, food, water, clothes, shoes, and family.

Ty'kira Jackson, Week 5, Summer Force

Don't give homeless people money, because they can spend it on drugs. My statistic was over 62% of homeless people in America suffer from alcohol abuse! What I learned this week was we talked about homelessness, we also did signs like homeless people do. Question: I just wanna know, where do they get their markers and cardboard from?

Daziyha Mattocks, Week 5

40% of homeless men in america are veterans. We learned what statistics are which is what people think about a group that is not always true. All homeless are mean is a stereotype.

Johnae Offer, Snow Leopards, Week 5

This week we did crossword puzzles and made signs to represent something about homeless people. We are also working on a play. The play is a benefit play. We had lots of fun and how today we are making houses.

Robert Ross, Week 5

Week Five: Homeless and you should care for the homeless. About 39% of Homeless people suffer from mental health issues. Homelessness stereotypes are not good to have.

Daziyha Mattocks, Week 4,

I saw a cat named princess. I saw a dog in the cage/ We were playing with the cat and we saw a pretty cat and they felt mad.

Isaiah Yarberough, Week 4

When I went to the animal shelter it was fun.  I saw a lot of cats and dogs. This cat sneezed on me when we saw the dogs they all barked. We all met a dog named Trombone. We pet him he licked us he was a good dog most of us didn't  see a rabbit but I saw it was good and sad it was good because it was nice seeing the animals it was sad because the animals were in cages. It was a nice ride. when we left I saw an animal graveyard it was a fun day.

I'Asia Crossland, Week 4, Triple S

I saw cats named Princess, Snuggle, Cookie, Boyfriend, and Tinkerbell.

I saw a dog named Trombone and Dothey.

The person that told us about the animals said that you should not put your hand in the cage or they will bite you. And you should not run away because that's another way of them trying to bite you. And you should ask permission when you want to touch a dog or cat. You should never run from or touch a stray dog.

Nikeva Riley, Week 4, Snow Leopards

Yesterday on June 14, 2010 we went to the Baltimore Humane Society  and they taught us about how they stopped the animals from having babies, they said that they stopped the animals from having babies by the spay. And most of the animals really wanted to be adopted ad loved by a family that won't hurt them or abuse them. They made a cemetery for the rabbits, cats, and the dogs. And we met two nice beautiful pit bull terriers named Trombone and Ruby.

As I watch those beautiful animals meow, and make their noises I pictured them telling me that they were happy they were safe, but still want to be adopted. Ms. Sarah said she didn't want them to be in the cages but because of their behavior they had to be.

Shauna Johnson, Week 4, Triple S

I saw a cat named Snuggles. I saw a dog named Trombone. I was on the opposite side of the fence.

I am Snuggles. I like to play I love the fact that I am safe again and I am around people that love me, care for me and feed me. But sometimes I think no one loves me so I made up in my little cat mind that if  I am playful someone would adopt me. But being in this cage makes me feel like a wild animal, when I am not. I am a playful cat.

Ty'kira Jackson, Week 4, Summer Force

When I went to the animal shelter, I learned not to run from dogs because they might bite you. Also I learned that animals are a handful. I really liked the cat named Maliby.

Dyshira Washington, Week 4, Snow Leopards

We went to the Baltimore Animal Shelter. We saw cats and dogs. We did not see the rabbits and we saw Trombone. He was nice and we got to see a cat named Snuggles, Snuggles was very jumpy and we saw a dog named Ruby.

Japri Chesil, Week 4, Animal Cruelty, Swagga Stars

I learned how to take care of them, to love them, and to care for them.  Plus I have some of my own and they are loving.

Ashley Nicholson, Week 4, Animal Cruelty, Swagga Stars

All About Animals

Wednesday I went to the animal shelter and they told me that you can get animals to adopt them and make them a part of your family. Some people that own them was to be mean and to be sad about what they do.

I feel say when I saw the animals at the shelter because their family and owner did not want them no more because they was mean or was not being respectful. Some of the animals was mad unhappy where they was at their homes to the animal shelter.

Shamar Nicholson, Week 4, Animal Cruelty, Swagga Stars

When I went to the animal shelter I saw a dog that was abused its fur was black and it did a lot of barking its name was steve. He looked cuddly but it was very playful. I saw a pitbull terrier it was black its name was trombone it was friendly and cute. I saw a cat named snuggle it was playful and energetic and it followed my hand. It was white and black.

Jay'da Johnson, Week 4, Animal Cruelty

Yesterday: at Baltimore Humane Society

I learned that some animals get hurt. They are used in dog and cat fights. Also I had saw a car named Mama Spice, Hannah, Mily, and more. I love Mama Spice because she is black with green eyes. I love hannah because she is white and black with brown eyes.

Keontay Rose, Week 4, Animal Cruelty

I seen dogs and cats and I had seen the dogs and cats grave. It was a lot of dead animals. One name was Ruby and she was playful. If I was an animal that was abused I would try to bite my owner and if I was in the cage I would feel lonely.

I am the dog that run around
and I love to make a sound
I am a dog that get chased by a dog catcher
So I would hide while they were chasing another dog

Kolby Hughes, Week 4, Animal Cruelty

Hannah was sad because she was in a shelter by herself.

Garrett Week 3

alright so this week we are supposed to answer a question. the question is "what would the world look like if no one served? So i think that if no one served then the world would be really poor and possibly in constant war. Every country would split into millions of little groups each with the population of 1 because no one would like anyone else and people would not trust anyone else until not even men and women trust each other and stophaving kids until eventually there will be no more humans on the earth unless the people towards the end of civilization relizes their errors and tries to fix it before its too late but whts the likeliness of humans actually changeing their ways i mean it took us forever to learn to recycle and even now only like half of the world recycles or something like that. But thats just my view.

Asia Brooks, Snow Leopards, Week 3

If we did not have teachers we would not be smart or get an education. Our teeth would be rotten forever if we did not have dentists. If we did not have police, there would be a lot of crime. If we did not have firefighters we would be burning up. We would not be safe or hurt if we did not have an army.

Ania Herring, Triple S, Week 3

What would the world look like if no one served? We would not be able to learn without a teacher. We would be not safe and we will die with out a police. We need dentists or our teeth will be nasty and ugly.

Daziyha Mattocks, Summer Force, Week 3

What would the world look like if no one served? It would look like it dirty because the trash man didn't want to pick up the trash. If no one will serve no one will live because people have to help eachother.

Dyshira Washington, Snow Leopards, Week 3

The world would look like if nobody served it would be dirty. It would look dirty because nobody would clean up. People would be killed and we would not have money or food. That would be so very sad!!!

Iasia Crossland, Triple S, Week 3

What would the world look like if no one served? It would look dirty because the trash man did not collect the trash. It would look like no one can eat because there was no stores because no body owned the stored. If there were no teachers then we would get home trained.

Nikeva Riley, Snow Leopards, Week 3

What would the world look like if no one served? If dentists didn't serve then we would have rotten teeth. No one would deliver food to the market for us. If we didn't have vets then the food chain would be ruined, and people would be too lazy to make food. If we had no teachers for anyone including adults, no one would have an education or be knowledgeable. If we had no fire fighters then no one would put out fires and help cats out of trees.

Imani Herring, Snow Leopards, Week 3

What would the world look like if no one served? We would be sick. People will be murdered. We would be sick because we would have no doctors to take care of us. People would be murdered because the police would be gone. If we didn't have teachers we would not be smart and we wouldn't get an education.

Ty'kira Jackson, Summer Force, Week 3

If no one served, people would be dead. The world would look so trashy. People wouldn't be able to go places because the bad people would take over. Also crazy people would be acting crazy. And the world would come to an end. I would never ever come outside.

Syeenah Whitty, Summer Force, Week 3

If we didn't have fire fighters then the fire will kill us. If we didn't have food then we will get hungry.

Johnae Offer, Snow Leopards, Week 3

What would the world look like if no one served? The world would end as we know it. If my mommy didn't feed me or buy me clothes I would me naked and skinny and you could see my ribs. If there were no dentists I would have no teeth.

Isaiah, Swagga Stars, Week 3

If the world did not serve the world would not look good. It would be dirty and I would be devastated. The world should be treated nice, we should all gather up and help the world be a better place. I always try to serve the world. I care about the world, some don't.
